Elected to ALIA Office

On Friday ALIA announced that I had been elected unopposed to the Office of  Vice-President/President Elect for the period 2009-2011. Check out the ALIA website for the announcement. From what I’ve been advised this is the first time this has happened. While I’m obviously pleased with the outcome its disappointing that that no other member wanted to stand for office. It would be interesting to found out why, and it will certainly be incumbent upon me to ensure this doesn’t occur during my two years of office.
